Pet Related |

|
www.arfpnc.com |
The Animal Rescue & Foster Program, located in
Greensboro, NC, is a volunteer organization dedicated to finding homes for
orphaned and abandoned dogs, cats, puppies, kittens -- and even the
occasional bunny, bird, or chinchilla. I've volunteered with ARFP for seven
years, fostering nearly a hundred cats and kittens in that time, attending
numerous events and fundraisers, working on the newsletter, and maintaining
the Web site.

|
cats.morefocus.com |
A great site with lots of really good
information for cat owners. The Health section on cats and plants contains
lists of plants that are safe for you to have around your cat -- and ones,
like peonies and ivy, that are dangerous, or even deadly.
|
|
www.petfinder.com |
A nationwide listing of pets looking for homes.
If you're thinking about adding a pet to your family, check Petfinder to
locate a pet in your area that you can rescue.

Mythos Material |
|
|
www.cthulhusnotebook.com |
My other Web site, a fictional project spawned
from imagining what it would be like if Cthulhu was just a regular "guy"
back on his home planet, with the same problems and stresses that the rest
of us have -- but with a little less patience and a lot more strength to
physically deal with anyone who bugs him. Yeah, if Cthulhu kept a journal,
what would it say? |
|
www.arkhambygaslight.com |
This site promises to be very interesting, once
more material is added. It focuses on the Lovecraft mythos in the gaslight
era of New England. Although not one of my Web sites, it does have a picture
of one of my cats with a fearsome rider. |
|
www.cthulhulives.org |
The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society. Not only
is it a site dedicated to Lovecraft's mythos, but it also bills itself as
"An Alternate Universe Since 1984" -- how could RejectedReality.com not
include a link to this site? While you're there, pick up a copy of A Very
Scary Solstice -- just the carols to get you in the holiday spirit. |
|
www.hplovecraft.com |
The H.P. Lovecraft Archive has information about
Lovecraft, his life, his writing, and its influence on pop culture. If you
aren't familiar with the mythos, or just want to learn more, this is a good
place to start. |

3D Graphics |
|
|
www.eovia.com |
Eovia, the makers of Amapi, Carrara, and
Hexagon, three of the graphics programs that I use. If you're interested in
getting into 3D graphics -- or already are, using other programs -- check
out what Eovia has to offer. If you just like looking at cool images, the
gallery has some incredible work in it. |
|
www.renderosity.com |
Online gallery for artists to showcase their
work. Not only can you view or display images, but you can also download
free objects and textures, visit the marketplace to buy other objects,
textures, and utilities, chat with artists in the forums, and check out
tutorials on a number of graphics programs. There's even a section for
writers. If you're looking for a creative spark, try one of the challenges
or contests. |
|
www.3dxtract.com |
Home of the 3dXtract ezine, a great publication
for 3d artists using Carrara, Amapi, and Hexagon. Pick up your copy of the
latest issue, or visit the forum to chat with other artists or complete one
of the challenges. If you've got a tutorial milling about in your brain,
Carl's always looking for submissions, too. |

www.worldwidefreelance.com |
A site for freelance writers -- both old pros
and those just starting out. Includes articles, information on markets and
starting a freelance writing business, and a listing service for writers
available for projects.
|
|
www.writingfix.com |
This site has too many writing prompt generators
to count! A great place to visit if you're suffering from writer's block. |
