Reverse Individual Facets without Pre-Selecting Them
- Select the object for
which you want to reverse normals on individual facets.
- On the Utilities tab, click the Orient Normals
button
.

The Orient Normals Tool Properties
panel.
Options for the tool include Reverse Normals,
Unify Normals, and Select All Facets.
- Click the Reverse
Normals button
on the Tool Properties panel.
Note: Regardless which selection mode you're
in, when you click the Reverse Normals button Hexagon automatically
switches you to select faces mode.
- Click the
facet to reverse its normal. The normal is reversed so the facet is
"facing" the opposite direction.
- Continue clicking facets
to reverse them.
Note: You can't use the Paint selection mode
to select the facets. If you do, only one facet will be reversed -- not
necessarily the first or last one. Instead, you must individually click the
facets to be reversed.
- Press Enter
or click Validate to accept the changes and close the tool.
